A ten-foot sectional normally arrives on a freight truck, with a four-hour window, a delivery fee, and two strangers in your hallway.

This one arrives as two parcels, left at your door. The same bubble silhouette as the rest of the range, one hundred and eighteen inches of it, with the chaise on whichever side your room actually has space for.

  • 118 inches, and a chaise. Ten feet of seating along the wall and a 67-inch chaise off the end. It seats five upright and sleeps one properly, which is the whole argument for a corner sofa over a longer straight one.
  • Chaise left or chaise right. Left and right are as you look at the sofa from the middle of the room. Measure the wall your window is on before you choose: this is the one decision on this page you cannot change later without shipping it back.
  • Bouclé, not air-mesh. The AP-27 is the one piece in the range covered in a looped bouclé rather than the 3D spacer air-mesh. It is denser, warmer to the touch and quieter in a room. In exchange it wants a little more care than the mesh: vacuum it with the upholstery head rather than a beater bar, and blot spills instead of rubbing them, so the loops stay loops.
  • Two boxes, no freight. 45 and 48 inches long, 15 inches square, about 77 lb each. That is a firm two-handed carry rather than a one-finger job, but it goes up a stairwell and through a 30-inch door, which a ten-foot sofa in one piece does not.
  • Made for you, not pulled off a shelf. Yours is cut and compressed to order, then shipped straight to your door. About 25 days for production and shipping, against the eight to twelve weeks the showroom quotes for a ten-foot sectional.
  • 100 days, and colour counts. A screen cannot show you a colour honestly, and bouclé reads differently again under warm light than it does here. If it is not right in your room, that is a valid reason to send it back at our expense.

For the living room that finally has the wall for it, and for anyone who wants the shape without the freight appointment.

Materials & construction

No frame. The seat is compressed foam through and through, shaped rather than built, which is why there is no hard edge anywhere on it and why it goes into a box at all. The cover is a looped bouclé.

Shipping & delivery

Free anywhere in the US, duties included. Every piece is made to order: about 15 days to make it, then shipped to your door, around 25 days in all. Alaska and Hawaii add a few days.

It travels compressed in two cartons, which can arrive on different days. No appointment window and no crew in your hallway.

Assembly

Cut the vacuum seals, let both halves take their shape, and push them together against the wall. About fifteen minutes, no tools and no hardware to lose.

Returns & warranty

Live with it for 100 days. If it is not right, email us and we arrange the collection and refund you in full, with no restocking fee and no return shipping to pay.

Everything is covered against manufacturing defects for two years, in the foam and in the cover, seams included. It runs from your delivery date and is separate from the trial.

Give it the full 72 hours

Day one it looked a little flat on the arms and I was worried. By day three it had fully filled out. Comfortable, sits low, which we like. Docking one star only because I wish the setup note was bigger on the box.

ALL IN THE DETAIL

The Corner Sectional, up close

Cloud Corner Sectional in Cloud White bouclé, chaise right, three-quarter view

A seat with nothing rigid in it

There is no wood and no metal anywhere in the Cloud Corner Sectional. The bubble volumes are not padding stretched over a frame, they are the structure itself, which is why the piece compresses into two parcels instead of a freight crate and why you never find a hard edge with your shoulder. At a hundred and eighteen inches across it seats five comfortably, and its rounded silhouette reads as one object rather than a set of parts.

The comfort

A seat that gives where a wooden edge would push back. You settle into the shape rather than being held upright by it, and because there is no frame under the foam there is nothing to find with your back after an hour.

The silhouette

Deep rounded volumes, low to the floor, the same shape at every size. It has real presence in a room without crowding it, and the two colourways let you match it to your floor instead of to a catalogue.

Macro of the looped bouclé cover on the AP-27

Bouclé, not air-mesh

The Cloud Corner Sectional is the one piece in the range covered in a looped bouclé rather than the 3D spacer air-mesh. It is denser, warmer to the touch and quieter in a room. In exchange it asks for a little more care than the mesh, because a loop can be pulled where an open knit cannot. Two colourways: Cloud White and Denim Blue.

Composition

A looped pile woven from a slubbed yarn, so the surface is a field of small curls rather than a flat face. That texture is what softens the light on the bubbles and what makes the sofa read as warm rather than technical.

Resistance

Dense enough to hold its look on the seat you always use, but the loops are loops: a claw or a beater bar can pull one. If you have a cat, the air-mesh on the rest of the range is the safer cover.

Care

Vacuum with the upholstery head rather than a beater bar, so the loops stay loops. For a spill, blot with lukewarm water and a clean cloth instead of rubbing, and let it dry in the open air.

The AP-27 arrives as two long cartons left on the floor of an empty room

Shipped compressed, returned without a fuss

It arrives vacuum-packed in two cartons, 15 inches square and 45 and 48 inches long, each of which clears a standard 30-inch door and turns in a stairwell. The two travel separately and can land on different days. You cut the seals in the room where it is going to live, the foam takes its shape back, and about 15 minutes later it is furniture. If it turns out to be wrong, you have 100 days and we pay for the collection.

Shipping

Free anywhere in the US, duties included. Made to order, about 25 days in all: roughly 15 days to make it, then shipping to your door. Tracking as soon as your piece leaves the workshop. Left at your door by a standard carrier, no appointment window and no crew in your hallway.

Setup

About 15 minutes for the pair, no tools and no hardware to lose. Each carton is a firm two-handed carry at 77 lb. Cut the vacuum seals, let the foam take its shape, then push the two halves together.

100-day returns

Live with it for 100 days. If it is not right, tell us and we arrange the collection and refund you in full. No restocking fee, no return shipping, and nothing to repack. Colour that reads differently in your light is a valid reason.

What's inside, layer by layer

The layer you touch. A looped bouclé, denser and warmer than the air-mesh on the rest of the range and quieter in a room. Vacuum with the upholstery head and blot spills rather than rubbing, so the loops stay loops.

A soft quilted sheet between the cover and the core. It takes the first few millimetres of every sit, which is what keeps the knit from being pulled tight over the foam and what gives the bubbles their soft edge.

The part that decides how it feels in year ten. High-resilience foam recovers its shape after each sit instead of packing down, and it is what the bubble volumes are shaped from.

No wood and no metal anywhere in it. The base is foam too, shaped rather than built, which is why nothing can work loose, why there is no hard edge to find with your shoulder, and why the whole piece compresses into one carton.

The chaise runs off the left end as you look at the sofa from the middle of the room. Choose this one if the wall you are working with opens to the left.

The chaise runs off the right end as you look at the sofa from the middle of the room. Choose this one if the wall you are working with opens to the right.

This is the one decision on this page you cannot change later without shipping it back. Measure the wall your window is on before you pick a side.

THE UNBOXING

A ten-foot sofa that comes out of two boxes

The AP-27 arrives as two long cartons left on the floor of an empty room

01. It arrives

Two parcels, left at your door by a standard carrier. They travel separately and can land on different days. Each clears a 30-inch doorway; at 77 lb it is a firm two-handed carry rather than a one-finger job.

One AP-27 carton opened, the bouclé foam module sliding out and taking its shape

02. It opens

Cut the vacuum seals and the foam takes its shape back. Nothing to inflate, nothing to assemble, nothing to time.

03. It's furniture

Push the two halves together against the wall, chaise on the side you chose. About fifteen minutes start to finish, no tools and no hardware to lose.

UNDER THE COVER

Built without a frame

Close-up of the tufted bubbles and looped bouclé at the corner, in Cloud White

No wood, no metal

Nothing rigid anywhere in it. That is what lets it compress, what makes it light enough to move alone, and what removes the hard edge you feel on a conventional sofa.

The shape is the material

The form is not padding stretched over a structure. It is the structure. It cannot come loose from a frame it does not have.

A looped bouclé

The one piece in the range covered in bouclé rather than the air-mesh. Denser, warmer to the touch and quieter in a room, in exchange for a little more care: vacuum with the upholstery head, blot rather than rub.

IN YOUR SPACE

Made for the room you actually have

Two colourways

Cloud White and Denim Blue, both in looped bouclé. Pick the one that works with your floor, not the one the catalogue leads with.

One size, two sides

118 inches along the wall with a 67-inch chaise off either end. Measure the wall first: left and right are as you look at the sofa from the middle of the room.

A shape that reads as one object

Low and rounded. It fills a room visually without crowding it, and it does not read as a set of parts.

Why we made this

"It will never make it up my stairs."

Every sofa I liked came with the same sentence somewhere in the checkout: delivery is kerbside, please ensure access. I lived on a fourth floor with a staircase that turned twice. Two delivery men once measured it, looked at each other, and carried my sofa back down. Ten feet of sectional normally means a freight truck and a four-hour window. This one arrives as two parcels, each clearing a standard 30-inch door and turning in that stairwell.

"Why is it a fraction of what I have seen this shape cost?"

Because it was built to compress, and everything else follows from that. No frame to assemble, no crate, no two-man delivery, no showroom floor. Compression is not a cheaper way to ship furniture, it is the only way to get a full-size sofa into a building like mine without a crew, a hoist, or a favour from three friends. That is where the money went, and where it did not.

"And if it isn't right?"

Three questions come up every time. Will it hold up: there is no frame in it, so nothing works loose, and the foam holds its shape instead of settling into a dip. Will the colour be right: a screen cannot promise you that, and bouclé reads differently again under warm light, which is why colour on its own is a valid reason to send it back. And if it is wrong: you keep it a hundred days, we arrange the collection, and you pay nothing. No restocking fee, no return shipping, and you never have to get it back in the boxes.

Frequently asked

Will it fit up my stairs?

It ships as two cartons, both 15 inches square, 45 and 48 inches long, about 77 lb each. Each clears a standard 30-inch door and turns in a stairwell. That is a two-handed carry rather than a one-person walk-up, but it is a carry a ten-foot sofa in one piece simply does not allow.

How long does setup actually take?

About fifteen minutes. Cut the seals, let both halves take their shape, push them together against the wall. No tools, no hardware, nothing to screw in.

When will it arrive?

About 25 days from the day you order: roughly 15 days to make it, then shipping to your door. The two cartons travel separately and can arrive on different days, so do not worry if only one turns up first. You get tracking as soon as the labels print.

Is the color true to the photos?

Bouclé reads differently under warm light than it does on a screen, and screens are not calibrated alike, so we will not promise you an exact match. Colour is a valid reason to return, and the 100-day trial exists partly for this.

Will it sag?

There is no frame to sag away from. The foam is compressed throughout, so the shape holds instead of settling into a dip. Covered against manufacturing defects for two years, cover and seams included.

Is the seat firm or soft?

Soft. You settle into it rather than sit on top of it, and with no frame under the foam there is no hard edge to stop you, not at the front of the seat and not behind your shoulder. If you want a firm, upright seat that holds you at ninety degrees, this is not that sofa. If you have been sitting on a frame and finding it by the end of the evening, it is.
